The Forensic Investigations Unit (FIU) provides expert analysis and testimony in the forensic disciplines of:

• Digital evidence
• Latent prints
   

FIU is recognized as a public forensic laboratory under New York State Executive Law and is accredited by the New York State Commission on Forensic Science and the American Society of Crime Lab Directors.
 

FIU continues to be the only accredited computer forensic lab in New York State. The experts in this unit process computers and other digital media used in criminal activity for evidence. The FIU has also assisted the:
