Six Chapters

To define the responsibilities of the Special Investigations Unit.

To establish procedures for receiving, investigating and disposing of complaints against members of the Department by members of the public.

To ensure that internal investigations of Employees are conducted in accord with all applicable laws and contractual obligations.

To limit the expectation of privacy of Employees regarding their use of Department and County property.

To establish procedures for processing legal claims raised against Employees in connection with actions taken in the performance of their duties.

To establish the duties and responsibilities of the Inspections Unit.
